MAC Rose Gilded eyeshadowpalette

The palette

The MAC Rose Gilded palette is a limited edition palette that contains 10 shades in new formulas. The palettes consists of different rose shades and shades that go well with rose and compliment them. The shades combined weigh 10 grams.

The Rose Gilded palette is 15cm x 6,5cm x 1cm and retails for 43,95 euro on the Zalando website.

The palette contains 10 shades:

Filigreedy is a muted golden beige (Molten Foil)

Fawn Over is a peachy beige (Creamy Matte)

Flashbeams is a light bubblegum pink (Molten Foil)

Glamageddon is a bright coral pink (Molten Foil)

Rose-Gilded is a deep metallic red (Molten Foil)

Miss Nefertiti is a lime green and gold pearl (Molten Foil)

Haute Damn is a dark chocolate brown (Creamy Matte)

Flaming Femme is a darkened clay red (Creamy Matte)

Tryst Issues is a burnt brick orange (Creamy Matte)

Midnight Feast is a black (Molten Foil)

A look

For the first look I tried to do something wearable for everyday. I started with the shade 'Fawn Over' in the crease. After that I used 'Flaming Femme' and 'Tryst Issues' in the crease. I darkened my outer crease with 'Haute Damn' and a little bit of 'Midnight Feast'. On my lower lashline I used 'Fawn Over', further from the inner corner 'Flaming Femme' and 'Tryst Issues' and in the outer corner I used 'Haute Damn'.

In the inner corner and as a highlight on the the browbone and cheeks I used the shade 'Filigreedy'. On the lid I used the shades 'Flashbeams', 'Glamageddon' and 'Rose Gilded'. As my mascara I used the Lash Sensational mascara from Maybelline. As eyeshadowprimer I used 'I <3 intensifying colour eyeshadow base' from Essence.

The second look is much darker and smokier. For this look I started off using the Aqua XL eye pencil from Make Up For Ever in my upper waterline and waterline. I used the shade 'Midnight Feast' all over the lid and on the lower lash line and started to blend this out with the shades 'Fawn Over', 'Flaming Femme' and 'Tryst Issues'. As Highlight in the inner corner, browbone and cheek, I used the shade 'Flashbeams'.

Again I used the Lash Sensational mascara from Maybelline And as eyeshadowprimer the 'I <3 intensifying colour eyeshadow base' from Essence.

My experience with the product

This palette is a dream to work with. I've tried many colour combo's and they all turned out beautiful. This palette was not something I had my eye on for long, but bought it because it was reduced in price. I'm really happy that I bought it because it's just such a beautiful palette. All the matte shades blend beautiful and the shimmer shades can be applied with a brush. When applied with a brush there will be more fallout on your face than when you apply the foils with your finger. Applied with a finger the shimmer will be intenser.
